Cancel Your Amex Platinum And Use One Of These Cards Instead

Starting March 30th, the American Express Platinum card will have new benefits and also carry a new $550 annual fee. Once my annual fee hits in May, I will cancel my Amex Platinum card. If you are like me and don’t think you’ll get enough benefit from your Amex Platinum card, consider one of the cards below.

If you want Delta Lounge Access:

The Amex Delta Reserve card is an excellent card for Delta loyalists. It will not only give you access to Delta Skyclubs but will also earn you a free annual first class domestic companion certificate and potentially earn you annual bonus MQM’s.

Conclusion

As you can see you have plenty of options to replace your Amex Platinum card with a much more rewarding card for a lower annual fee. I cannot disagree more with the newest Amex “enhancements” and have already replaced my Amex Platinum card with the Chase Ritz Carlton card.
